I will carefully listen to your needs and your story, partnering with you to create a plan to fit your specific goals and preferences. At the same time, I use an evidence-based approach in my practice, which means that there is scientific support for its effectiveness. My top priority is to foster a nonjudgmental and warm space where you feel valued, heard, and empowered, while also helping you develop the tools to move forward with your life.
I practice cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance- and commitment therapy (ACT), and I frequently integrate mindfulness and compassion into treatment. These therapies are very active and collaborative, and typically include:
Ultimately, my goal as a therapist is to help you to have more choices and tools that you can use to flourish and live a life that is more at ease, fulfilling, and meaningful.
Oftentimes, care can be enhanced and even more effective when your healthcare providers coordinate with each other. In particular, working on issues related to disordered eating and health is often facilitated by coordination with other professionals including physicians, psychiatrists, and dietitians. I am experienced and comfortable with working with a multidisciplinary team and coordinating with other providers in your care team when appropriate.
Individual Therapy
Individual sessions are typically scheduled for 50 minutes, once or twice per week.
To begin, we will usually take the first 1-3 sessions to develop a thorough understanding of your main concerns and the history of your difficulties, as well as your goals for treatment. Following these initial meetings, we will review a treatment plan that is specifically tailored to your goals and needs, and review your progress over time.
I provide services in-person in Horsham, Pennsylvania. My in-person office is located within a physician's practice building, although we are independent practitioners and you are not required to be a member of that practice to work with me. I am also authorized by PSYPACT to provide tele-psychology services remotely to individuals in the 39 states listed below.
